Apple Unveils New Powerful iPad Pro With The Latest Apple Silicon M5 Chip

Apple has launched the next iPad Pro model, now powered by the new M5 chip. This latest version of Apple Silicon significantly increases performance.


As with last year, the iPad Pro is available in two sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. The base model includes 256GB of storage and 12GB of memory, which can be configured to 2TB of storage with 16GB of memory.


The 256GB and 512GB models are limited to 12GB of memory and an M5 chip with a 9-core CPU, 10-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. The 1TB and 2TB models feature a spec upgrade with 16GB of memory, an M5 chip with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine.


The iPad Pro with the powerful M5 delivers:



• • * Up to 6.7 times faster 3D rendering with ray tracing in Octane X compared to the iPad Pro with M1, and up to 1.5 times faster than the iPad Pro with M4.

  • * Up to 6 times faster video transcode performance in Final Cut Pro for iPad compared to the iPad Pro with M1, and up to 1.2 times faster than the iPad Pro with M4.

  • * Up to 4 times faster AI image generation performance in Draw Things for iPad compared to the iPad Pro with M1, and up to 2 times faster than the iPad Pro with M4.

  • * Up to 3.7 times faster AI video upscaling performance in DaVinci Resolve for iPad compared to the iPad Pro with M1, and up to 2.3 times faster than the iPad Pro with M4.



Battery life is up to 10 hours when browsing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video, with up to 9 hours for cellular models. With fast charging enabled, the iPad Pro M5 can achieve 50% charge in 30 minutes with a 60W or higher power adapter.



The iPad Pro with M5 is available in Silver or Space Black. The pricing is as follows:

The Nano-texture display is available exclusively on the 1TB and 2TB models for an additional $200.
