Apple unveils the thinest iPhone ever !
In conclusion, the “Awe Dropping” event for the iPhone range finally revealed the updates, commencing with the iPhone 17. This year, the standard 6.3-inch model remains available, while the plus model has been discontinued. The iPhone 17 introduces the ProMotion display, capable of reaching a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a feature previously exclusive to Pro models. The front screen glass has been enhanced to Ceramic Shield 2, significantly enhancing scratch resistance compared to previous models. Additionally, a 7-layer anti-reflective coating has been applied to improve outdoor and bright environment visibility.
The iPhone 17 is powered by the newly introduced 3-nanometer A19 chip, equipped with a 16-core neural engine, a 6-core CPU, and a 5-core GPU. Internal testing indicates that the A19 chip exhibits a 20% performance enhancement over its predecessor, the A18 chip.
Fast charging capabilities have been enhanced, enabling a 50% charge within 15 minutes. Furthermore, the iPhone 17 boasts an impressive battery life of up to 28 hours on a single charge.
The rear dual-lens fusion camera system has been upgraded to 48 megapixels. The front-facing camera has also been upgraded to 18 megapixels, now called the Centre Stage camera. This camera is designed to maintain centre-of-field positioning throughout the selfie, including while walking or running, providing a seamless image stabilisation experience. The Centre Stage front camera eliminates the need to rotate the iPhone to capture landscape selfies.
Internal storage options are available, commencing at 256GB and extending up to 512GB. The iPhone 17 will be available in five distinct colour options: Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White, and Black.

With a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, the iPhone Air boasts a mere 5.64mm thickness, making it the thinnest iPhone ever manufactured.
The iPhone Air’s display is protected by the Ceramic Shield 2 treatment, while its frame is crafted from titanium to ensure the durability of this ultra-thin device. Equipped with the A19 Pro chip, typically reserved for the Pro models, the iPhone Air delivers exceptional performance.
The A19 Pro chip is equipped with a 6-core CPU, comprising two performance and four efficiency cores, a 5-core GPU with neural accelerators, and a 16-core neural engine. Additionally, the iPhone Air is powered by the N1 wireless chip and the novel C1X modem chip.
The rear-facing camera on the iPhone Air is a single-lens 48 megapixel fusion camera that incorporates 2X optical zoom and optical image stabilisation. Similar to the iPhone 17, the iPhone Air is equipped with a 18 megapixel front-facing Centre Stage camera, enabling dual video capture from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
The iPhone Air will be available exclusively with eSIM worldwide. Battery life is designed to provide up to 27 hours of usage on a single charge. A specially designed MagSafe battery pack has been engineered for the Air model, enabling up to 40 hours of usage on a combined full charge.
